This is easy to understand. Given the state of the war and the motivation the soldiers have, it is important to keep the moral up. An MP3 player, a bit of drink, and maybe something stronger can make every flight into a wonderful trip. And then you may here on the radio monologs such as:
“hey, where is this aircondition, I am sure it was somewhere around here … I wonder if it is this red button…. Lets try … No doesn’t seem to work, lets see what this one does…”
